In the Community
Stockmans Bank is proud to be your community bank! Whether we're putting on our very own Easter Egg Hunt in Hollis, or working at the concession stand at one of our local community basketball or football games, you will find that Stockmans Bank and its employees have a presence at nearly every community involved activity in our region. Why? Because we want to see our communities thrive! We also want to be able to “give back” in any way that we can to the towns, churches, schools, and especially to the children. If we all work this way as a community, we can see great things happen. It’s also a great way for us to share time together outside of the bank, and to enjoy helping out and working with the people that do so much for our towns and our schools.
Another reason Stockmans Bank stands firm on being a community bank is simply because we love the feeling we get when our community comes together for a good cause, to raise money for a particular project, or to celebrate the amazing heritage of our fine towns. We like knowing our customers personally, and we are honored to be your friends and neighbors. Our communities are more like a family to us, and family is one of the most important things of all.
Stockmans Bank makes contributions to local schools and to a variety of community clubs, churches, charities, and non-profit organizations. But to us, what’s far more valuable than any dollar amount we could give is to donate our time. Our employees believe that to truly know the needs of the community, we need to get out there and participate and experience it first-hand. The Stockmans Bank staff is very active in supporting our community. You will find them helping out at just about every event there is by cooking meals, working at concession stands, delivering meals to senior citizens, or just having a good time participating in parades and other local celebrations!
Aside from community improvement projects, Stockmans Bank is also an avid supporter of our local schools. We provide scholarships to graduating seniors, awards and pizza parties for hard working students, and support for youth in their FFA projects and other extracurricular activities. We also believe in promoting our community…nearly 100% of our radio advertising dollars spent each year goes directly to advertising for community events and school fundraisers, or to help churches, non-profit organizations, and other charities spread the word about their upcoming community events.
Since we opened our doors in 1910, Stockmans Bank has been committed to giving back to the communities in which we live and work. As our bank has grown, we’ve had the opportunity to give back to more communities, to help our youth in a variety of ways, and to make the place we call home better today, and even greater tomorrow. We also strive to offer the newest and most efficient products and services to our customers so that they may do their banking business quickly, easily, and with peace of mind. Each day that we operate, our mission is to exceed our customers’ expectations of what a bank should be. We feel like we do this by offering just the right combination of quality products, services, great customer service, and by always keeping our communities' best interest at heart.
And finally, as a community bank, we must never forget how we got here…by a man with a dream who took a chance and sold his only asset to start the bank; Why we’re still here…our community minded, local owners make decisions that are good for the bank, for its customers, and for the community; And why we’ll always be a community bank…we love the family-like atmosphere and enjoy knowing just about all of our customers by name. We are also able to make decisions right here at home and are able to focus on local community needs. Because we are a community bank, our customers are not treated like they're just another number...each of them is different and have different financial goals and needs. So, as we continue to grow, we can all have peace of mind knowing that our customers, as well as our employees, will enjoy the benefits that local, family owned banking has to offer.
