Easter Cookout

Stockmans Bank is proud to be your community bank!  Whether we're putting on our very own Easter Egg Hunt in Hollis, or working at the concession stand at one of our local community basketball or football games, you will find that Stockmans Bank and its employees have a presence at nearly every community involved activity in our region.  Why?  Because we want to see our communities thrive!  We also want to be able to “give back” in any way that we can to the towns, churches, schools, and especially to the children.  If we all work this way as a community, we can see great things happen.  It’s also a great way for us to share time together outside of the bank, and to enjoy helping out and working with the people that do so much for our towns and our schools. 

Stockmans Bank has a staff that’s dedicated to volunteering in a variety of community activities, fundraisers, charity events, and school functions.  Just a few of the many events and activities Stockmans Bank helps with in our communities include:

  • Holding the annual Stockmans Bank Easter Egg Hunt in Hollis
  • Participating in the Old Pioneer Reunion and Wild West Days in Mangum
  • Sponsoring and participating in the Annual Rock and Rumble Event in Altus
  • Sponsoring the HHS Athletic Banquet
  • Sponsoring and participating in the “Grate Altus Spelling Bee”, which raises money for the Great Plains Literacy Council
  • Sponsoring projects for Eldorado’s PTO, and E3 Organizations
  • Great Plains Stampede Rodeo Sponsor…staff also works the ticket booth and gate
  • Participating in the Cotton Pickin’ Festival in Hollis
  • Student of the Month Sponsor at local public schools
  • Student of the Week Sponsor at local public schools
  • Stockmans Star Award presented each month at Mangum public schoolsAmerican Red Cross Style Show
  • Scholarship Pageant sponsor for various local scholarship pageants
  • Participant and Sponsor for "The Altus Style Show", held by The American Red Cross Association
  • Participant and Sponsor for "The Cotton Pickin’ Chili Cook-Off" in Altus
  • Volunteer time and money for local fundraisers for families in need
  • Participant and Sponsor for “Relay for Life”
  • Provide floats and decorations for community parades
  • Provide scholarships and awards to graduating seniors
  • Donate money, toys, and food to local DHS offices and Head Start Programs for holidays and Christmas parties
  • Some branches participate in the local “Meals on Wheels” programs by delivering lunches to elderly and/or needy families
  • The Hollis and Gould locations have provided popcorn supplies for and popped popcorn at Sallie Gillentine Elementary School…proceeds go toward the purchase of playground equipment and yearbook pages
  • Stockmans Bank provides and prepares the meat for the Annual Harmon County Premium Sale 
  • Stockmans Bank is an avid supporter of all FFA projects and purchases animals and provides add-ons for many local school kids in Harmon, Jackson, and Greer Counties.
  • Stockmans Bank spends the majority of its radio advertising dollars to sponsor local community events, fundraisers, church charity events, and school projects
  • Providing meals for the faculty of Hollis and Eldorado Schools during in-service meetings
  • Helping local public schools by sponsoring improvement projects for facilities
  • Helping the Athletics Departments at numerous local schools either by volunteering time at concession stands, providing bottled water during scrimmages, helping with the cost of stadium, gymnasium, and baseball field renovations, sponsoring warm up gear, helping with the expense of scoreboards, pads, and seating, and providing sponsorships in local and state playoff programs.
  • Many of our bank locations provide educational programs and presentations by attending local schools and teaching children the basics on developing savings programs, tips for balancing checkbooks, and money making and saving ideas, as well as offering an in-house tour of the bank for schools to bring their students to the bank for educational field trips.
